5 Ways to Make Your Home Business Website Stand Out!
Once you’ve decided on the product or service you’re going to provide and you have your marketing plan in place it’s now time to design your website. You can either design it yourself or pay someone to do it for you. My personal preference was to do it myself and for several reasons.
There are several advantages to doing it yourself. The money you save by designing your own site can be directed toward other areas such as advertising your Home Business online. Also the sense of satisfaction you gain from having designed it yourself, the way you want it designed, helps give you the sense of ownership and control over the final result.
On the other hand you may feel more comfortable having someone design it for you. Either because of the time involved or the fact that you have very limited or no experience with website design. If this is the case then hiring someone else may be the best way to proceed.
Whichever direction you decide to take you need to produce a site that stands out from the crowd. There are several reasons for this, with the main one being to attract traffic and potential customers to your business. There are a number of ways to produce a unique website and we will look at five methods in this article.
First of all in order to make your website noticeable you must know your audience. Depending on the product or service you’re providing you must tailor your design and content to meet the needs and expectations of the people who need or want what you’re offering. This will attract the people you want and keep them coming back until they decide to become customers.
A second way to make your home page exceptional is to demonstrate your expertise. You can do this by writing articles which pertain to your area of knowledge or by making a Blog available which you update on a regular basis. This is an excellent way to keep your visitors coming back for more and also to increase traffic to your home business site. By distributing your articles to directories with back links included you will attract people who are interested in what you have to offer.
A third way to make your site distinctive is to provide free stuff or design a contest which gives away a monthly prize. This compels your guests to come back on a regular basis to either check the results of your contest or to see what new freebies you have this month.
A fourth way to make your home business site one of a kind to your potential customers is to make the design and navigation very user friendly. More often than not simplicity and ease of use will contribute greatly to the user’s enjoyment of having visited your site and will increase the likelihood of a repeat visit.
A fifth and final method of achieving exclusivity for your home page is to provide the opportunity to develop relationships with your potential clients. You can accomplish this by creating a community within your site in the guise of a Forum for users to chat with one another or create an affiliate program which can lead to long lasting relationships with members.
These are only a few of the many ways you can help your website stand out online but from past experience they are several of the more effective methods to get your home business noticed on the internet.

This is my new Blog and having been away from it for a couple of years it’s great to be back because I really enjoy it. Just to tell you something about myself, my wife and I are currently working with Autistic adults in the state of Maine and we love it. Although we’re from Canada, originally from Newfoundland, this is our second stint working in Maine and the two men we are working with this time around are great. We’ve become very attached to these young men and we consider ourselves to be a family. Actually our job title is that of Therapeutic Foster Parents and of course we take it very seriously. One of the main reasons we take it so seriously is that we are advocates for these young men because at times they can’t speak for themselves.
The sad part about our job here in Maine is that we have to leave the country after 18 months. The reason for this being the company who hired us and sponsored us into the US could only get us into the country by way of a Training Visa with the main condition being we have to leave after 18 months. We were here under the same circumstances in 2007 and had to leave the guys we were caring for at that time at the end of 2008.
This of course was very difficult for the three men we were working with and living with at the time and it was also very difficult for us because we became very attached and as I mentioned earlier we became a family. One of the main benefits of coming back is that we get to see the guys we worked with on our first visit and we also get to do what we enjoy which is caring for and helping these young men.
Because of our love for what we do and for the people we work with I will be dedicating a Page on this website to Autism and to the people who live with it on a daily basis. I’m hoping this will help educate people who aren’t familiar with what is fast becoming a global concern and help to raise funds for research.
The other objective of this website is to offer Home Business advice and present opportunities to people who are interested in making a legitimate living by working from home.
I’m hoping to have a great deal of relevant content added soon and I hope people will make it a point to visit often. Thank you for visiting and for taking the time to read this information.
The following two videos should give you some idea of the majestic beauty of Newfoundland:
I’ve added a video below, one of which is actually an advertisement by a local brewery located in St. John’s, Newfoundland which is where I’m from. But it contains some great shots of the area and I like to think portrays what we, as Newfoundlanders, are all about: People who care about people, who work hard and play hard but aren’t afraid to laugh at ourselves. In the following videos you will see many examples of this outlook on life as portrayed by local entertainers performing at what we call “Kitchen Parties”.
These are events where neighbours come together to have a few drinks and entertain one another through song and dance. Please take the time to have a look.
