When starting your home based business there are many things you should consider before beginning the process but the following should be your top four considerations:
First of all what Product or service am I going to make available? This one question alone raises or unveils a number of other concerns. For example: Is there a market for my product or service? What is the demand for it? How many other, like or similar, providers are in the market place at the moment? What is the going rate for my product or service?
Can it easily be made available to my potential customers? How much will it cost to deliver? Should I make it available anywhere else or just online? Is the product or service compatible with an online Home Business? These are just product related queries which must be addressed before starting up your home based venture.
Secondly there are many financial concerns which have to be addressed before you hang out your shingle. Concerns such as, How much start up capital will I need? Will I have enough financing to make it through the first year? without making a profit? How much should I budget for advertising? Will I build my own website or hire someone to design it for me?
Which financial service provider am I going to use to handle my sales online? Will I finance my home business on my own or will I approach an outside party for financial assistance? And finally and perhaps most importantly: What is my total budget for this online concern?
A third and very important decision asks, how am I going to market my product or service? Depending on what you’re providing there are many different ways to make your home business and product or service known to your potential market. Are you going to advertise online exclusively or are you going to use a combination of online and offline methods?
Which Internet Marketing strategies are you going to employ. Are you going to use several different techniques or are you going to concentrate on one online marketing strategy? In relation to this you should try to discover through research which Internet Marketing technique would be most successful for your particular product or service. And finally with regard to marketing, as mentioned earlier, how much am I going to direct toward each of my different Internet Marketing techniques.
A fourth and perhaps most important point to consider because it may well ultimately determine the success or failure of your home business is what are my skills and what do I enjoy doing. It’s very important, in my opinion, to take into account what skill set you are bringing to your online venture. You should ask yourself which areas you enjoy and which ones you are most experienced with. For example, Are you a good marketer?
Are you a good sales person? Are you better equipped for the customer service aspect of your venture? If you enjoy what you are doing and concentrate on areas you are good at then your odds of success with your home based business have increased greatly.
Each and every question raised in the above article is best answered by compiling a comprehensive Internet Marketing Plan for your home based Internet business. Armed with a wide ranging and all inclusive Internet Marketing Strategy along with a good reason why and you should enjoy all the benefits of being successful and making money online bring.

This is my new Blog and having been away from it for a couple of years it’s great to be back because I really enjoy it. Just to tell you something about myself, my wife and I are currently working with Autistic adults in the state of Maine and we love it. Although we’re from Canada, originally from Newfoundland, this is our second stint working in Maine and the two men we are working with this time around are great. We’ve become very attached to these young men and we consider ourselves to be a family. Actually our job title is that of Therapeutic Foster Parents and of course we take it very seriously. One of the main reasons we take it so seriously is that we are advocates for these young men because at times they can’t speak for themselves.
The sad part about our job here in Maine is that we have to leave the country after 18 months. The reason for this being the company who hired us and sponsored us into the US could only get us into the country by way of a Training Visa with the main condition being we have to leave after 18 months. We were here under the same circumstances in 2007 and had to leave the guys we were caring for at that time at the end of 2008.
This of course was very difficult for the three men we were working with and living with at the time and it was also very difficult for us because we became very attached and as I mentioned earlier we became a family. One of the main benefits of coming back is that we get to see the guys we worked with on our first visit and we also get to do what we enjoy which is caring for and helping these young men.
Because of our love for what we do and for the people we work with I will be dedicating a Page on this website to Autism and to the people who live with it on a daily basis. I’m hoping this will help educate people who aren’t familiar with what is fast becoming a global concern and help to raise funds for research.
The other objective of this website is to offer Home Business advice and present opportunities to people who are interested in making a legitimate living by working from home.
I’m hoping to have a great deal of relevant content added soon and I hope people will make it a point to visit often. Thank you for visiting and for taking the time to read this information.
The following two videos should give you some idea of the majestic beauty of Newfoundland:
I’ve added a video below, one of which is actually an advertisement by a local brewery located in St. John’s, Newfoundland which is where I’m from. But it contains some great shots of the area and I like to think portrays what we, as Newfoundlanders, are all about: People who care about people, who work hard and play hard but aren’t afraid to laugh at ourselves. In the following videos you will see many examples of this outlook on life as portrayed by local entertainers performing at what we call “Kitchen Parties”.
These are events where neighbours come together to have a few drinks and entertain one another through song and dance. Please take the time to have a look.
