Affiliate marketers, who are new to the Internet, are always looking for the niche market that provides the biggest return. However, there are some who believe there’s some magic bullet they don’t know about which will result in a money generating system which operates on auto pilot with very little effort on their part. Actually, This couldn’t be further from the truth. As with any business, online or offline, success doesn’t come easy. It requires a lot of hard work and dedication and knowing which affiliate marketing techniques work best.
The following online marketing techniques have worked for years and have made a lot of affiliate marketers very successful online and they continue to work today. By employing these three Internet marketing techniques properly, you will be able to increase sales and thrive in the affiliate marketing world.
These three tactics are:
1. Use separate web pages to advertise each of your products. Do not place all of your offers on the same page because it can be overwhelming for your visitors and make it difficult for them to find what they want. The best approach is to have one site dedicated to each separate product to help avoid confusion.
Another good practice is to add product reviews to each website so your potential customers will know what your product or service can do for them and how it solves their immediate problem or answers their question. Also include testimonials from customers who have tried your offering. Adding a photo and name to each goes a long way toward building trust with your visitors and in return for your clients testimonials you can reward them by including a link to their website.
2. Add a squeeze page or make an offer of a free report or e-zine subscription as soon as people land on your product page. This helps build your email list which you can use later to promote other offers. Also, create an auto responder campaign which sends follow up email messages to visitors who have provided their contact information in order to persuade them to become paying customers. Very few people purchase immediately. It usually takes up to seven or more follow ups before a sale is completed. Without a squeeze page or some other method of capturing your visitor’s information any type of follow up is impossible. If they don’t purchase on their first visit, which we know is highly unlikely, and unless they return on their own, this lead is lost forever.
In your auto responder email focus on all the positive outcomes for your potential buyers if they make the decision to purchase. Show them how your offer can make their lives better and solve the specific problem facing them. Make your email subject line attractive and compelling and in your message convince the readers they will be missing out on something which may not be available to them again in the current form.
3. Traffic which is targeted toward your particular product or service offering is essential for affiliate marketing success. Tire kickers or people who are only interested in free stuff are of no use to you as an affiliate and are only a waste of your time. You must attract people who are looking for what you have. A great way to drive targeted traffic to your home page is article marketing. Write articles relating to your website and your products for publication in article directories, e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications and people who would be attracted to your website and your offer.
I try to write a new article every day but a minimum of two to three per week would get the search engines attention, especially if you include keywords related to your website content. The key to article marketing is consistency. Try to provide the search engines with what they’re looking for, fresh content, on a regular basis.
Implementing these affiliate marketing strategies isn’t difficult. All it takes is a little hard work, some perseverance and a whole lot of consistency in order to succeed in the online world of affiliate marketing.
