One of the first questions we all ask ourselves when we first start out online with our home based business is how long will it take for me to succeed so I can quit my day job? Of course we all probably know when we ask that it’s impossible to say for sure.
You can’t put the same time frame on everyone’s progress and of course each of us has a different definition of being successful. For one of us it may mean making $5,000.00 per month while for someone else it may mean making $20,000.00 a month.
Another reason why it’s impossible to predict how long it will take is we all work at a different pace and some of us have more free time to dedicate to our business than others. We also learn at different speeds with some being fast learners while with others it may take more time and effort to reach their goals.
Another important point that factors into the equation is whether or not you have a marketing plan in place. People sometimes begin a business venture without any type of written plan to follow leading them to reaching their final goal. Without some kind of guide to follow you will find it difficult to focus on one step at a time and your approach will be confusing and undisciplined.
Your mindset also plays an important role in how long it will take to make it online if you ever do make it. We all have to firmly believe that we can do it and that we are going to do it. Someone who is full of self doubt and who is continually questioning their decisions, because of a lack of confidence, will find it very difficult to achieve their goals.
Also some people become discouraged more easily than others and often throw in the towel when things don’t go their way. On the other hand you have other people who are tenacious in their efforts and when things do go wrong they keep trying until they get them right. So it all depends on which category you fall into as to whether or not you’ll achieve success on the Web or not, let alone when it will happen.
So as you can see there’s no formula you can use to determine when you’ll begin making the money you need online or if you ever will. However, if you’re focused, confident and determined to succeed, you will succeed with your home based business because, with this attitude, it will only be a matter of time.
