While I’m adding today’s Post I’m watching the hockey game between the Boston Bruins and the Calgary Flames on the TV next to me and I have the Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Rangers game on the NHL Game Center Live website which I subscribe to open in another window online.
As you can probably guess I’m a big hockey fan and in particular a big Toronto Maple Leaf fan which has been very frustrating over the years because they haven’t made the playoffs for three years and will miss them again this year and they haven’t won the Stanley Cup since 1967 which will be 43 years this year, if my math is correct.
So as you can tell it’s not easy being a Leaf fan. In my opinion the reason the Leafs can’t put a good team together and make a serious run at a championship is because of the ownership involved. The team is owned by a Teacher’s Union and the only thing they are interested in is the bottom line which by the way they are doing very well with having recorded record profits last season.
What the team needs is an individual owner who is also a hockey fan, but in particular a Maple Leaf fan such as Mike Illitch the Pizza magnate who owns the Detroit Red Wings. Mr. Illitch has crafted a professional sports franchise which should serve as the model for all other professional sports teams everywhere. And because he surrounds himself with very knowledgeable hockey people the Red Wings are perennial contenders for the Cup every Spring.
However I won’t hold my breath waiting for that to happen with the Leafs because the Teacher’s Union aren’t about to part with the goose who lays the golden eggs every year. I guess I’ll have to remain a frustrated Leaf fan until something drastic happens in Toronto.
Anyhow enough hockey talk I’ll get to the main reason we’re here and that’s today’s Article: “How to Avoid Home Business Scams online.” This is an area I’m very familiar with because I myself have been the victim of several online scams and from past experience I know now what to look for and what so called opportunities to avoid. I hope the information in this article helps some of you avoid any unscrupulous situations you may encounter. Please enjoy:
How to Avoid Home Business Scams Online
Home Business Scams seem to be the most prevalent scam around on the Internet today. It may be of extremely poor quality, or fail to live up to the exaggerated claims of performance. Maybe it was never the vendor’s product to sell in the first place. Work-at-home scams are often presented to appear as if you are being offered a job. This is because most people are more trusting of job offers as opposed to business opportunities. Recently, (mid 2007) the Better Business Bureau has been receiving reports that even some online employment agencies, are being targeted by scam artists. Their only aim is to steal bank details and other sensitive information about people seeking employment. In other words, Identity Theft.
